No time for him....

Yesterday, I tried to leave office at 6 sharp so that I can make it home before dark to take Oscar for a walk. But office work is just too much for me, I left at 6.45, when I reached mom's place, my dad (Oscar's Ah Kung) took him for a walk already.......... I saw Oscar grinning happily cos Ah Kung bought him sweets and Vitagen....

Sometimes, I really wish that I could be an SAHM. To work at home "SOHO" or better still, no need to work la. But, after a while, I will be very detached from the outside world, then all my fashion sense and my sense of humour my everything will be OUT-DATED!!! Arrggghhh! But deep down in me, I am willing to sacrifice for Oscar. Nowadays, kids need more of our time compare to my generation. I remember my mom use to put me and my brother in the living room to play and she will attend to her house work. Me being the 'tai kar cheh' always ask my little brother to do this do that and he obliged!!! Gone are those days........

I feel that I really need to spend more time with Oscar. From Mondays to Fridays, I drop Oscar off at mom's place at about 7.30am and I dont get to see him till 6.30pm or maybe later. When we go back to our own home, I will sometimes cook and by the time we finish eating dinner and washing up, its close to 9pm. Then its time to get Oscar ready for bed cos he needs to wake up early he next day. So, where do I find time for him? Ok, weekends, but because I hardly spend time with him, he too, is a little bit detached from me. During weekends, he will occasionally ask me "mommy, go back Ah Po house-ok?" And if I said "today saturday, no need to go Ah Po house", then Oscar will look away and stare at my mom's photo in our living room........ My son feels so far apart from me already.

Yesterday, mom told me something about Oscar which made me really happy and joy. Oscar learnt to sing songs, and not any other songs, but Leslie Cheung's song. I know I have been previously blogging on this but last evening, I actually heard it with my own pair of ears... after Oscar sang the song, he bowed and clapped his hand. I really want to be with him full time to witness these memorable incidents myself.

Last night, hubby came home early so we had simple dinner. Hubby spend time with Oscar while I finish up some office work (yes, my office work is so much that I have to bring home). Oscar asked his daddy:-

Oscar: draw draw........ (showing paper and pencil to hubby)
Hubby: hmmm ok. draw apple ok
Oscar: no no, puish car.....
Hubby: huh? what car?
Oscar: PUISH car.......... neee nooo neee nooo
Hubby and me burst into laughter and hubby said: i see police car is it?
Oscar: yes, clever daddy!!!

You see, dont you just love spending time with your little ones? I love you Oscar........ again, today I will attempt to leave early....... pray !!!

My Neighbour

Steal sometime today to blog..... monday blues la.

I can't help to but to post a blog on my most annoying neighbour. I lived in an apartment whereby ours is on the 4th floor. We have this neighbour a floor below us (lets call them A). A has got a family of 4-1 wife and 3 kids. The eldest of his kids would be 4 years old, the second one is 1.5 or less and the youngest bundle of joy is merely 3 months old (I know cos I always 'terhidu' them cooking the rice wine during chinese new year).

So, they are the type that like to talk loudly along the corridor, always scold their kids in public and foul languages all the way type. We can hear them from far especially the husband. He will shout for his eldest daughter to walk faster or do not run etc. He is just shouting most of the time. Even if he is just talking to his opposite neighbour, you can hear him from far. I can hear him talk even he is at the ground floor..... can you beat that!!!

They like to put their kids on the 'sarong' cos every day without fail you can here the 'sarong' sound......'ngit nget-ngit nget' like it needs oiling badly kind of sound you know. For a while you would have said, its ok la, not all child is capable of sleeping in the cot or bed alone. But, this squeking sound is really getting out of hand lately. In fact, the sound of the 'sarong' is now amplified right into our bedroom!!! I think they placed the 'sarong' inside their room instead of at the living room which we normally hear the sound comes from. Non stop very loud squeking sound throughout the night!!! WE COULD NOT SLEEP......... and if we slept, we WILL BE RUDELY woken up by the sound.

Hubby wrote a friendly letter to them many months ago, I think it was during their second child. But no action was taken by them. Come on, just buy some WD40 or just pour some baby oil onto the spring la........... like that also cannot ah???

They are those lived in their own world and do not care about other people's welfare. Our neighbour on the 5th floor tot it was us that made all the squeky sound but we told them not us..........

So how la? Should we go and tell them again!!!

Will you chat?

Will you chat with someone whom you do not know online? Well, this is what happened to me this morning. Someone actually msn-ed me yesterday wanting to chat but I didn't know who was it and was busy so I didnt replied.

So this morning I saw this person online and he acutally buzzed me. I answered and asked who he is.... then he started chattin away and said I forgot about him and bla bla bla... then I ask him if he really know who is he chatting with he confidently replied yes.... he said he will sms me to show that he is not kidding.... Waited but nothing came to my phone so he also realised something wrong.... so he apologised. "Wrong person - lol"

Anyway, I chatted away with him and he seemed to be a very nice guy. And he is from Singapore.... hmmm. Well, its always nice to chat with someone from another place (ok its just Singapore, not planet Mars........... I get it!)

So chatted for about 10 mins with intervals here and there... and I have to end it. Cos got tonnes to do........... Same now, back to work. Counting down to 6pm today... going to the Park with Oscar........... Pls dont rain ah.... TQ

Me: Wait!! (I said)
Oscar: Ok, bye........... (hung up on me)
Me: !!!!??????

You see, talking to your own child is very theraputic. I had a rough day this morning, so I tot I call home to speak to little boy to ease my yearning for him and also to forget about work for a little while....... After chatting with him (even he hung up on me) I felt satisfied.......

Aikes, suppose to have photos for the post below. What happened ah?
See, my pc really gila liow.

My Weekend

Hehe, want to copy Jazz’s previous post on her weekend. My weekend started off with an early Saturday cos wanted to take mom to the clinic. But then she called and said dad already brought her there the previous night. So got ready with Oscar and head to Jusco Tmn Maluri for some grocery shopping.

Arrived at 10.45am and wow, quite packed already. This is one of the Jusco that opens at 10.30am cos I have been to many Jusco’s (yes, I am a Jusco fan!!) and noticed that they opened quite early …. 10am.

Ok, brought Oscar for his kiddy ride and then head down to the supermarket to buy some meat and vege. The to McD to get some fries. Oscar went to the food court with me with a smiling face and a packet of fries! I had the lousy-est chicken rice but well, food court ma, can’t complain right?!

Then we head home and zzzzz. Slept for 30mins then the rain started to rained like no tomorrow. Decided to do some ironing and then daddy sms-ed me at about 4.00pm informing me not to cook and will bring us out for some jalan jalan session…… (retail therapy for me perhaps)

We went to KLCC for dinner and shop a little…. More of Oscar’s stuff as usual and then head home….. very tired liow and hit the sack at 11pm all of us…. Except for daddy…. He stayed up for some sob sob tvb show on astro….

Not much happening on Sunday except we brought Oscar for his haircut and then head home to zzzzzzz. Cooked dinner too. Want to try this recipe?

Thai fried chicken with Mango.

Ingredient:
Chicken drumstick or breast
Shallots
Chilli Padi
Mango
Sugar/Salt/Pepper/Soy Sauce
Thai Chilli Sauce

Method:
Marinade chicken with some soy sauce and pepper. Cut shallots and mango into slices and sprinkle a pinch of sugar and set aside.

Before deep frying the chicken, dust it with some KFC frying powder and fry till golden brown. Place it on the plate and put the mango and shallots on top.

Pour 3 table spoon of Thai Chilli Sauce into the wok and let it simmer with 3 table spoon of water… put in the chilli padi and remove from heat. Then pour it onto the chicken and serve hot with rice…. Yummy wor hubby said.

Half eaten chicken…(eat halfway baru ingat want to take picture). But finished eventually!!!

My 5 cents day

This morning when I woke up, I was greated by a loud cry from Oscar... Reason, his blanket fell off and I think he dreamt about something cos he kept on saying "Mommy.. carry.. mommy sorry..." Must have dreamt that I pukul him or something!!!

So, we left the house 15mins earlier cos I want to skip the jam and also to the atm machine. It so happened that the atm machine is in a petrol station... (yes SHELL), Oscar wanted to get some drinks... (we like to stop at petrol station to buy drinks one la) Then we q up to pay. Waliow, long q 'nemermind', the guy at the counter was eeeexxxxttttrrrraaaaa slooooooowwww. Can't blame him cos I think he has been on shift like forever!! Droopy eyes, messy hair and very skinny. So, came my turn. Bought some drinks and the total was $3.75. And I gave him a $10 note. So, if my maths is correct, aren't he suppose to return $6.25??? Nope, he just returned $6.20. Not that I so damn kira about the miserable 5 cents (what can 5 cents buy now?), but hey, if you tell me you don't have it I can accept. I once accepted the cashier when she told me she ran out of coin and could not give me my change (that is about 50 or 70 cents i forgot).. I am ok with it. But this guy, obviously he is taking advantage on his customer. I am sure he didn't do this by mistake cos when I looked at my change, I gave him a look and his face is very guilty and he looked away.... he was actually shaking when he gave me the straws for the drinks.... See, this is what happened when you do crime.... I bet he is thinking about me now!!!! Ok, enough rambling about my stupid 5 cents.....

Then, came to the tol gate.... suppose to pay 50 cents but no coin so I gave the fat white faced big mouth woman a $1 note..... She took it from me as if I just passed one pile of s**t (mind my english today cos very stress la... )... she took it with just two fingers...... then gave me back my change opps sorry, threw me back my change!!! Woi... and again 10 cents dropped!!!! Again, not the money that I am yelling my lungs out here, but what attitude is this???!!! Can't you just give me back my change properly???? This ppl in the tol booth really crazy one you know. There was once, my hands was 'molested' by the stupid guy in the booth... I gave the money, and he actually 'meraba' my hand. Aiya, hard to describe la... but I felt so disgusting!!! Then when he gave me my change, he actually did it again, 'meraba' my hand......

OK, for sure will get my Touch n Go card loaded today... In fact I have 3 of this card but all out of credit.... hard to find a spot to top up but now no more excuse cos I can do it with the atm machine.......

Sorry to you all readers ah....... if my yakking of this 5 cents and 10 cents make you so sien... you can write to me one....

Back & Relaxed

Muaahahahahaaa, MIA-ed for a week and now back and much more relaxed.. still tonnes of work but can-la...

PART ONE
Took a break to go Penang (photos will follow soon... camera something wrong cannot download) with another family. They too, have a son but 8 months younger than Oscar. We stayed at the Sandy Paradise Hotel for 2-nights... complimentary stay cos this friend of us has got 4-vouchers so yipppeeee....... but if we do not have these vouchers we will still go la... maybe stay in some miserable motels lor..... (nope, I actually planned to stay in Batu Ferengghi Mutiara one....)

So we drove there on Sunday at about 9.30am.. suppose to meet friend (lets call them Tieh family) at the Sg Buloh bridge at 8am but left the house so late as usual....

Had the lousy-est breakfast at Burger King then head on to Penang. We stopped to stretch, drink, yak, change diaper, drink again and toilet for so many times until I lost count.... We reached at about 4.30pm...

Checked in and went in to our room straight away to rest. Then we went to the beach at about 6pm to let the kids play... but the wind is too strong and waliow very hot la... so head to the pool for a cool dip then went up to shower.... Then we went to Macalister Road for the famous Char kuey tiow.... order so many food and stuffed our self till we can't move!!!!

OK, I yak until here first to be continued later (if I have the time... gotto finish my accounts first)

Good to be back..........
